I cannot tell you how ecstatic I was that the author did not go the ménage route with the twins. This is not only because books with that type of romance are never my cup of tea, but also because it just didn’t fit with the world. The relationship dynamics of these books are almost like biological fated mate type deals, and have the same type of possessive, protective male leads as many other fated paranormal/sci-fi stories do (which I might add are a not-so-guilty pleasure of mine). So it never makes sense to me when, suddenly, two people are okay with sharing. Again, not my cup of tea, and totally out of character for that world, but I digress.Moving on...
I definitely enjoyed getting to know the brothers more in this book and finally finding out the species of the baby. Without giving too much away, I also loved how the baby’s origins were handled and that there wasn’t as big, or horrifying, of a mystery left about them.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to any who loves sci-fi or paranormal romances, though I would suggest starting with book one of Ice Planet Barbarians in order to get the whole, and very enjoyable, story.

Angie Gladiator A SciFi Alien Romance Icehome Book 5 edition by Ruby Dixon Romance eBooks Reviews
I love that Ruby avoided the whole three-some cliche. This story had so much characterization, it was a joy to read. Vordis, Angie and Thrand weren't just cardboard cutouts having sex. This is why Ruby's books are so great, besides being funny and good hearted, they seem to contain real people working through the trials and joys of romance. For a quick, entertaining read, they can't be beat.
To much emotional angst and stupid endless misunderstandings. I skipped Willa’s story, was curious about Angie so I bought the book, sadly non of the characters appeal to me so this will be it for me. Icehome does not have the same magic.
Angie and Vorden are a super sweet couple! What red, (or any other color as well) blooded female doesn't love a man who loves babies? It's genetic, written in our very DNA to be charmed by potential good daddies. (Not like that! Get your head out of the gutter!) Anyway, it is so sweet to follow along as Vorden falls for very pregnant Angie, and then her beautiful child. The birth scene is fantastic! And it is fascinating to watch as Vorden and Thrand learn to become their own people. I was worried about how this would work since Ruby let it be known ahead of time that this wasn't going to be a menage, but it worked out beautifully. I should have just trusted Ruby, she always delivers! This is an amazing story, and a wonderful addition to this series. I absolutely recommend it!
I haven't read a book in a few months. Lots going on but I have over a thousand books I have read on my kindle. But when Ruby Dixon came out with a new book in the Icehome series I had to purchase it as soon as it was offered on . I really love this series and so can't wait until the next book comes out. But you really need to read the Ice Planet Barbarians first then Icehome. Ice Planet Barbarians basically starts it all. I so recommend both series. Or better yet pretty much anything Ruby Dixon writes.
This is like the number gazillion in this series and I have read them all but one because the main characters past held too many triggers for me, but anyway, you need to read this series from beginning through to truly understand the characters, the landscape, and the evolution of this growing community. This series has come a very long way if you skip ahead you will regret it. I love this series but this was not one of my favorites. I am obviously loyal to the original kidnapped crash landers but we have moved on from them. Having said that THANK YOU Ruby for giving us a glimpse into some of the original growing families (Liz & brood) lives in this installment.
This is Angie and Vordis’s story and its very sweet but not as steamy as some of the other books. Angie wakes up very pregnant and very kidnapped on another planet with aliens. Vordis is one of those aliens, a clone and he and his brother clone take a special interest in Angie. As always this book is well written, the storyline is smooth, the aliens comically innocent and naive and remarkably charming. It’s a full length book with lots of laughs. It’s worth the price and the read. Enjoy!
Finally angie gets her book and her sweet little baby! We finally find out what species the baby is and it was a huge surprise. This book was so good I finished it in one sitting. The book 's about Vordis and Angie. Super sweet with the HEA. I highly recommend it and give it a 5 star review.
I didn’t read any of the previous books in the series so I didn’t know what most of the terminology meant and the author did a piss poor job of clueing in new audiences. I would have liked a disclaimer that stated you need to read the beginning books to know the world she had created.
There was also ALOT of extra characters in the book and a lot of implied back history. Like you had to already know the stories of those characters in order to understand them. I would have liked that had I read the earlier books in the line as I love a good “see how they are now” catch up session.
Having said that, this was a wonderfully sweet sci-fi, getting to know you, romance. It may feel slow paced but it does suck you in wanting to see how it plays out. It was also quite funny with all the cultural misunderstandings. I laughed hard a few times! Ketchup & hot sauce, oh my!! Lol. It is definitely worth reading. I love this author’s style of in-depth character writing. She explains the thoughts and nuisances so well that you can almost fall into their perspectives like it was you.
Loved it, will read the earlier books when I get the chance as I already own them. This book interested the most fist though. Enjoy.
